The Urgent Need to Design for Health and Wellbeing

Many businesses are looking for new ways to boost productivity and enhance worker wellbeing, and more and more studies are showing that one of the best ways to do that is by improving indoor air quality (IAQ). Some studies have shown that improving IAQ can actually increase productivity and worker satisfaction by 0.5 – 5% - or if we look at the dollar signs, that equates to $20 to $200 billion in estimated annual savings. But where do we start and what do we need to be looking for? This article discusses that and more as it explores how we need to transition our eco-friendly design to also include IAQ considerations.
