DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Johns Manville (JM), a Berkshire Hathaway company and leading building products manufacturer, kicks off this year’s International Builders’ Show with an interactive, informative booth presence in Las Vegas. This year’s booth in the central show hall (#C6513) will feature industry-leading experts, interactive tools and a closer look at the capabilities of JM’s complete continuum of building insulation products.

Key features of JM’s 2015 booth include:

  • JM’s Energy Performance Calculator will allow builders to evaluate performance levels against current building codes. The step-by-step interactive tool allows builders to select key aspects of a home, like the climate zone and performance level, and receive a customized overview of recommended applications.
  • JM’s virtual spray foam game offers contestants the opportunity to apply spray foam into virtual spray foam cavities with a chance to win a $100 Lowe’s gift card each hour.
  • Building scientists and product experts will also be on hand to talk shop about everything from spray foam to HVAC products and other building solutions against a modern rendition of a house.

JM’s booth will feature the newest addition to its complete line of building insulation products – JM Spider® Plus blow-in insulation with Interlocking Fiber Technology, a re-engineered replacement for JM Spider® spray-in fiber glass insulation. Interlocking Fiber Technology allows the insulation fibers to spring and lock into cavities with no adhesive or netting. JM Spider Plus achieves an R-value of 15 in a 2x4 cavity and an R-23 in 2x6 walls.

JM and its Berkshire Hathaway sister companies, including Acme Brick, MiTek and Lubrizol, have also partnered as sponsors of the annual Metro Study Research and Breakfast on Thursday, Jan. 22. The research, available by request, examines labor issues in the builder, remodeling and distribution market and predictions for the hottest remodeling categories in 2015.

Available for interviews are JR Babineau, building scientist; Elam Leed, product engineer; Tom Calzavara, product platform leader; and Todd Bridgeford, product manager. To schedule a meeting, contact Ashley Campbell at (303) 951-2568.
